Jan 2010. I had a busy few months with Christmas Shows October to December, which went really well. Busy trying to produce new stock, which I hope at somepoint to get on-line.
Artists Info
I was born in London, England and grew up in a household where I was given lots of freedom and encouragement to be creative. All through school I chose to do as much in the way of art as possible and therefore it was an obvious choice to continue in the arts for my further education and eventually work. I chose a subject I felt would lead to a good career… Multimedia design, which basically trained me to be a graphic designer. Although I enjoyed the time I spent studying I found that working on computers limited me creatively and therefore I really missed working with something more tactile. After university I decided to go to Canada for a year, to do a ski season in Whistler and then prehaps travel for the summer. That winter I was introduced to glass fusing at a local art studio in Whistler. I found working with this new medium very exciting and quickly taught myself as much as I could by buying books and using other resources such as the internet. Since then my worked has evolved as I continually experiment with different methods. I have found glass to be a great creative outlet and get great pleasure from the reaction I get from people at the markets where I sell my work. My current work has been inspired by the beautiful mountains that surround me where I live in Golden, BC.
